Pastor John Biggs

Pastor John Biggs

Pastor John met his wife Keiko (the love of his life!) in Hawaii, where she was learning English.  After their wedding, John and Keiko served ten years as missionaries in Japan (Keiko’s homeland), six years of which John served as pastor of Lighthouse Christian Church in Sakai, Osaka.   Their two children, Elijah and Angelina (the second two loves of his life!), were born and raised in Sakai.   In his off-time, Pastor John enjoys watching silent movies and hiking with his family.  Pastor John was installed as the pastor of Saved By Grace Lutheran Church in October 2013.

Church Secretary – Kristi

My name is Kristi. I have been the secretary for Saved By Grace Lutheran Church for 7 years. I enjoy my job here. We moved to Pahrump from Las Vegas in 2006. We love it here! I thought I’d be homesick for the big city, but that is not the case.

Before I “retired” in 2000, I worked for an auto parts warehouse in Las Vegas for 25 years. From there, I wanted to work in the medical field. I worked two years in a central billing office for a company out of California doing various jobs. They operated many skilled nursing and psychiatric facilities. When they closed the office in Las Vegas, I went to work for South West Medical Associates in the front office of one of the clinics, then moved into central scheduling.

I enjoy reading (sometimes), crafts (mostly buying them), cooking, and spending time with my husband, David, our goats, Emily and Amelia, and our spoiled rotten cat, Sassy.

Church Organist – Debbie

Debbie became our church organist in the spring of 2014.  She feels that God led her to this church and is very thrilled to be here.   She has been playing for church (one or another) since she was a freshman in high school.  Debbie played for the past 30 something years in Las Vegas, mostly with one congregation (which has now become Spirit of the Desert Lutheran Church).  She has sung with the Myron Heaton Chorale Las Vegas since its inception (over 23 years now).   All of her father’s family (siblings & parents) were professional musicians, so you could say music is in her blood.
